This resource is aimed at educating consumers about deceptive and anti-competitive behavior and to facilitate readers' potential desire to take action against the deceptive practices of overlay vendors.
Victims of Overlay Vendors
Did you buy an overlay after believing their marketing claims but now understand the evidence that what they've said was false? You probably have a strong case against them, especially if you're one of the many who have been sued despite having an overlay. Locate your state's Attorney General in the table on Consumer Complaint Resources to file a complaint!
For US Citizens: You are encouraged to use the information on this site as the basis for a complaint with the US FTC as well as in your own state. Have a quick look at Consumer Complaint Resources for information on who to contact. You can also email email@example.com. Use the downloads page to find verbatim copies of this site's information in both Word and PDF as well as all screenshots used as well.
Outside of the US: We do not yet have any resources for consumer protection agencies or laws outside of the US. If you have that information, please file an issue on GitHub with that information and we will add it.
